If you’re like us, your family’s health matters more than anything.
As parents, we all want to feel confident about what we’re putting on the table. But today, that’s not always easy. Labels can be confusing, and food that looks healthy is not always grown the way we think it is.
That’s why we believe the best way to trust your food is simple.
Know your farmer or grow it yourself.
At Isle Acre Farms, we grow real food with no chemicals, and we are passionate about helping families reconnect with where their food comes from. Our goal is not just to provide vegetables. It is to help you feel confident feeding your family and inspired to learn along the way.
And don’t worry. We’re here to help.

Before kids, Pete and I were not exactly health experts.
One of the most “romantic” dinners I ever made was ramen noodles in a crockpot and I forgot to turn it on. That pretty much sums up our early cooking skills.
Everything changed when we had our first child. We wanted her to grow up healthy, so we started learning more about our food and realized we wanted to grow it ourselves.
In 2013, we planted a 3,000 sq ft vegetable garden right in our front yard. Yes, the front yard. Our neighbors thought we were a little crazy, especially when we built our first garden bed out of wine bottles. But soon we were growing more than we could use.
By 2015, we decided to grow for our community too, and Isle Acre Farms was born.
In 2017, Pete left his nearly 20-year career as a paramedic to farm full-time, the same month our third child was born. It was a big leap, but it gave us something priceless.
More time together as a family.
Today, we grow vegetables on two acres in the middle of the city and enjoy the moments that matter most, breakfast, lunch, and dinner together.

One day, a friend brought her niece to the farm, and the little girl asked where all the animals were. When she heard, “No animals, just vegetables,” she said, “Just vegetables? How useless!” But by the time she left, she said, “That farm was so much fun. They make vegetables cool.” That moment perfectly captures our mission to make vegetables exciting and fun for families.
We are here to help families:
‣ Eat real food
‣ Learn where it comes from
‣ Spend time together outdoors
‣ Build healthier lifestyles one small step at a time
Because when kids connect with food, everything changes.
